We have a new state of the art Ultrasound machine (it even talks).

The Mindray TEX 20 has been purchased for the Bowral rooms so that we can provide both diagnostic and ultrasound guided injections on site. This will minimise delays in organizing your treatment.

It is already installed, and we will be using it to treat tendon, muscle and ligament injuries.

Currently we offer state-of-the-art Platelet Rich Plasma Injections for tendon injuries that are not improving with good physiotherapy. We can treat Tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis, Patella tendonitis, Rotator cuff tears (not complete tears but some full thickness ones are suitable), Hip Bursitis and Gluteal Tendon tears.

It can also be used for some ligament injuries to hasten healing of these. This can be used in ankle sprains, knee ligament sprains, elbow, wrist and finger ligament injuries.

Nerve impingements

Sometimes the pain you are feeling can be from compression of a small nerve.  This can happen after injury and is fairly common in ankle sprains when the pain just won’t go away following excellent rehabilitation. It can also cause some persisting knee pains, shoulder, elbow wrist and knee pains. For instance there is now good scientific evidence for the use of a special injection technique (DIFFERENT FROM CORTISONE)  for the treatment of  carpal tunnel syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome and some lower back and buttock pains.
